Nitrox Diver

Nitrox diving is the easiest way to increase your diving knowledge and enhance your experience. Diving with Nitrox has proven to be safer than diving with air, when done properly. You can use Nitrox to increase your bottom time by up to twice as much. You will also enjoy shorter surface intervals between dives. At Oak Hill Scuba, we feel every diver should be trained to enjoy the benefits of diving with Nitrox.

By taking the Nitrox class You will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive. Your instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing procedures; and more.

The course fee is $125.00 and the class can be completed in one evening. A NAUI Nitrox textbook or PADI Enriched Air text book is required for the class.
